I always tell people “I’m more technician than designer”.

If design could be described as a balancing act between form and function, I would fall squarely into the function camp.

Of course, design need not necessarily be a matter of sacrificing form for function, or vice versa. The most elegant designs function seamlessly and their forms reflect that functionality, be they eye-catching or understated.

You might notice that most of the projects on this website were designed by other teams or individuals. In many instances I have had a part in the design, but my role in the manufacture of objects over the years has skewed toward one of problem-solver and creator. I’m details-oriented, I direct teams of people effectively, and I lead by example.

I enjoy bringing clever and beautiful designs to life.

I’m from Calgary, Canada. I spent eight years working in the US on an employer-sponsored H1B visa.
