 IGOR END TABLE

MDF, acrylic sheet

IGOR was born in the summer before I started at the University of Alberta as the computer lab technician in Industrial Design.

I had received very limited instruction on the use of the CNC panel router from the previous technician, who had departed quite suddenly. The head of the I.D. shop asked me to familiarize myself with the use of the mill prior to the start of the school year.

This was my first project.

The entire IGOR end table is cut from a single 4’ x 8’ sheet of ¾” MDF.
Fluted dowels inserted into registration holes in each part ensure perfect alignment and quick assembly.
